She could be a lot better.
We have used Dr. Santiago since my daughter was 6 months old, she is 14 now. She is super nice and very professional. She not only has diagnosed my children accurately each time, but she is very caring in her work. She remembers my children each and every time we have to go, which is not very often, and she genuinely cares about them. I would, and have, recommended her to all my friends and anyone I know, searching for a good pediatrician!
The most amazing pediatrician I've ever been to. She has treated both my boys since they were little and was a huge part of saving my sons life after being misdiagnosed and having a life threatening asthma attack. Under her care he has not had another in 8 years! Her staff is also some of the best and most knowledgeable I've ever worked with. They have been amazing. Also, there is never a long wait to see the Dr and if I'm ever early, I'm always put before my appointment time ever arrives.
She must have barely scrubbed by in medical school because every time I took any of my children to see her, she could never diagnose them properly. 9 out of 10 parents have told me the same thing. She overlooks apparent symptoms and physical ailments and problems and doesn't seem to care. My niece Tristen was seen by her 4 times with throat pain, red tonsils, and complaints of scratching white hard mucus deposits off of the tonsils. Dr. Santiago repeatedly dismissed the complaints as nothing and refused each time to refer her to a specialist. I will never take a child to her again and discourage anyone else to.
